Fairfax, Virginia, September 21, 2016: Sevatec is pleased to announce that Sonny Kakar, Founder & Chairman, has been named a finalist for the Greater Washington Government Contractor Awards™ (GovCon) Executive of the Year award. Mr. Kakar was among five executives selected as finalists from companies with revenues between $75 and $300 million.
Presented by the Fairfax County Chamber of Commerce and Professional Services Council (PSC), the Executive of the Year award is presented to the executive who is recognized for making outstanding contributions to his/her company, the community, and the government contracting industry during the past year. Mr. Kakar’s perseverance, entrepreneurial spirit, and personal integrity supporting his team and community contributed to this recognition. He founded Sevatec in 2003 and worked tirelessly to grow the company into one of the fastest growing federal IT services companies.
Selection as a GovCon finalist is the second such honor for Mr. Kakar who received the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2016 award in the Government Services category, Mid-Atlantic region in June 2016.
Now in its 14th year, the GovCon awards annually celebrate the innovation, leadership, and commitment to excellence of the individuals and businesses in the region’s contracting sphere.
